The BMW Group

The BMW Group is a German automobile, motorcycle and engine manufacturing company founded in 1916. They currently operate 28 production and assembly facilities in 13 countries and have a global sales network in more than 140 countries.

At the end of 2012, the BMW Group had a workforce of 105,876 employees, selling around 115,215 motorcycles worldwide in 2013 under the name BMW Motorrad. With newly appointed roles within senior positions of the company, BMW obviously has even bigger plans for 2014.

BMW Motorrad has already unveiled the very special R nineT that was designed and built to celebrate ninety years of BMW Motorrad. Late 2013 brought us the unveiling of the much anticipated 2014 R 1200 GS Adventure which has already won the 2013 MCN Bike of the Year award, R 1200 RT, S 1000 R streetfighter and the K 1600 GTL Exclusive among others. We look forward to seeing what else BMW has in store for us this year!
