If you live in an area where the winter might bring a few good dumps of snow. KTM have a bit of kit kit for kids big and small; an on and off piste flyer called the SX Pro Snow Racer, which might just take sledging to the next level!
It a sturdy piece of equipment with BMW handlebars and non-slip grips for confident steering when the hill is propelling you forward at speed. There is a brake but as one website mentioned, when you have a good downhill slide going, the brake can be somewhat incidental as it's just steel scraping the ice.
The black frame is in steel against the KTM orange. There's a decent looking seat, but this is probably academic as the whole idea is in the name of the device.
They can be bought on ebay and through some bike dealers for around £160.
