The Big Knock Diesel Motorcycle Rally
The Big Knock Diesel Motorcycle Rally is a great event taking place this year, from the 30th of May to June the 4th . It is really a celebration of the unusual, and is all about alternatively fuelled, hyper mileage motorcycles and how they have been engineered and built. With this as the remit, you can imagine there will be some pretty wild, wonderful and really different motorcycles arriving for the occasion, so it is well worth going along to see what’s occurring.
There is camping at the event, which stretches from Wednesday to Wednesday over an extended weekend, with reduced nightly rates available for motorcyclists - £12, and £15 for vans.
The camping field is down from the cut price bar, and up from the onsite Motorcycle repair shop, Spannercraft Ltd and obviously has toilet and shower facilities for campers.
The Picture above is of one of these fine machines which visited us at Wemoto a little while ago - nice!
The Rally organisers suggest that campers bring their own food along and don’t rely on buying it at the venue, although barbeque and burgers should be on offer to buy most nights, pizzas on Saturday night and breakfast egg or bacon rolls in the mornings.
There should be rideouts to local places of interest on Friday and Saturday mornings, which have been known to leave the site at any time, but usually head out mid morning and come back around lunchtime.
Although there actually aren’t a huge number of diesel motorcycles in existence, usually around 20 of these unique and interesting machines roll up at various points over the weekend.
Here’s the video from last year to give you the flavour of the event and see if it's up your street.
To get to the Diesel Rally 30/5/2025 the organisers say the easiest way to find the event is head to the coordinates for Spannercraft.
Have you been to this event before or seen, or even own a diesel motorcycle?
