Dave's Kove
So the founder of the successful Kove motorcycle is thinking further. The Kove is a machine which we have covered before – here are the
words of Dave on his Kove.
The mooted new sportbike is going to be a claimed 148bhp, inline-triple sportbike, the most powerful bike in the line up so far. ZXJC is a relatively unheard of Chinese brand but this may be about to change with this new bike. ZXJC is owned by Zhang Xue who founded Kove. He has now moved on from Kove and is working on making ZXJC a success. To date ZXJC has only launched the 500RR four-cylinder sportbike, claiming to deliver 81.8bhp at 13,500 rpm and 34lb of torque at 11,500 rpm.
The 500RR is due to start being delivered to the Chinese market shortly and the 'project 299' 820RR triple should be along next?
The brand is thought to be planning on expanding its range from just sportbikes, and eventually wants to bring out motocross and adventure models, and perhaps a V-twin cruiser.
The new 820RR are scant at the moment but it looks as though it will have a lightweight aluminium frame and a dry weight of 168kg. It should have fully adjustable suspension and an upside-down front fork with an adjustable rear shock. There should be a good crop of rider assists including a six-axis IMU which enables cornering traction control and Bosch cornering ABS and it should rev up to 15,250 rpm.
The specs are not really out yet but hopefully all will be revealed in the fullness of time.
Are you feeling tempted? If the new bikes are as good as the Kove then maybe Dave will be :)
