Spring's here, and so are new horizons for Wemoto's favourite showroom man
I'm passionate about anything on two wheels.
Having ridden since the age of 13, I bought my first track bike last year. Surprisingly, I was much quicker than I thought I'd be. I was at race pace, my confidence growing. I thought, why not give racing a go?
I did a few track days, but last October, I ended up high-sliding at Donington, writing off the 2001 R6 I'd been planning on racing the following season. A slight set back, but I managed to get enough together to buy another bike - a 2009 ZX6R, which I'd convert to a track-ready machine.
I didn't get off to as good a start this season as I'd have liked.
Getting the funds together to convert the ZX6R was proving to be more difficult than anticipated. But (perks of the job), I'm now a "Wemoto sponsee". The team helped me get the bike ready to go. Whether or not I'm ready for my first race is a different matter...
