A Motorcycle/Car With Elements Of Plane? Interesting!
Weird four wheeled leaning vehicle patents from Yamaha have been dug up – what's occurring here then, you might ask?

Well out of the world of James Bond perhaps, comes this rather odd looking idea which Yamaha have filed a patent for, perhaps most reminiscent of the electric MW-Vision Concept which appeared at the Tokyo Motor Show a few years back. So far it is just a patent application and looks likely to be electric with the way the world is going right now, but who knows. There has been some discussion here about where the batteries might be stored if it is electric - perhaps in the floor, which will have the side effect of lowering the centre of gravity?

With its four wheels it may not really be classed as a motorcycle but then is it perhaps closest to the Piaggio MP3 in style or to a smart car, but then it clearly leans? The seating is somewhere between a bike - linear and one behind the other, and a car, with upright proper seats, while the steering wheel is from a sky vehicle!
Yamaha and Toyota have a good long-standing relationship so perhaps it could even end up being released by Toyota as one of their quirky futuristic electric vehicles and be classed as a car. So far, interesting as it looks, this patent raises as many questions as answers so we will watch this space.
