Wemoto took a trip to the Wemoto VMCC Festival of Jurby on the Isle of Man.

Here are some jolly photos for you to enjoy

Thursday 21st August saw team Wemoto boarding a steam packet ferry with a vanload of  Wemoto freebies for the good folk of Jurby. Wemoto was sponsoring the Festival of Jurby again this year and as usual the staff were really looking forward to the great atmosphere and excitement generated by the motorcycles, races and crowds on the Isle of Man. Starting with the ferry itself which was heaving with happy motorcyclists eating drinking and making merry full of anticipation of their arrival at that mecca of motorcycling, the Isle of Man.

On disembarking the whole Island seemed to be entirely filled with bikes, it was like landing on Planet Motorcycle – a very welcome sight after the somewhat sparse population of motorcyclists on the mainland.

The Wemoto crew was staying in one of the Isle of Man’s famous and truly homely homestay b&bs where they had a really friendly and warm welcome and were very well looked after – they particularly noted the amazing breakfasts and lovely home baking– nom nom.

Our team had a chance to settle themselves at Ballaugh bridge for a while, a great place to get to early with a picnic ready to see the amazing array of bikes speeding past with their front wheels at least and often the back ones as well leaving the ground as they hit the rise at speed. A spectacular spot for taking photos and laying down memories!  Ideal for anyone who loves bikes and a good place to bring home how brave the TT riders of old were on their speeding machines often with only a leather open faced helmet for protection.

The Wemoto VMCC Festival of Jurby is growing every year and drawing bigger and bigger crowds with its mix of classic bikes and easy access to motorcycling celebrities. At the Festival of Jurby itself the Wemoto stand was surrounded all day by happy smiling motorcyclists who were having the time of their life and going away with a clutch of Wemoto freebies – necktubes, keyrings, notepads and stickers as mementos of a great time.

The Wemoto gang are already looking forward to next year and one of them is planning to take his bike as he wanted to get in on the action and have a go round the course instead of just watching – so look out for him next year on his Kawasaki ZX7R or maybe he might just need a new bike to take...watch this space.
