Mounted at the front brake lever/master cylinder assembly, this compact switch activates the motorcycle's brake light as the front brake lever is operated. A worn, damaged or intermittent switch can result in the brake light failing to illuminate correctly, making replacement an important safety repair.
Manufactured as an OE-style replacement, the switch is designed to match the function and mounting arrangement of the original Honda component, making it an excellent value alternative to a genuine replacement part without compromising on dependable everyday operation.
The front stop switch forms part of the motorcycle's brake light circuit. When the front brake lever is operated, the switch changes state and allows the rear brake light to illuminate, warning following traffic that the motorcycle is slowing down.
Because the switch is operated every time the front brake is used, internal contacts and the small operating mechanism can eventually wear. Common symptoms include a brake light that does not illuminate, remains permanently on, or only operates intermittently as the lever is moved.
This aftermarket switch is designed to replace the Honda 35340-MA5-671 Switch Assembly, Front Stop. The original Honda reference is widely used across a range of Honda motorcycles and scooters fitted with this style of front brake microswitch.
The replacement design allows the original switch to be removed and the new unit installed in its place, helping return the braking-light circuit to proper operation without the cost of an OEM component.
A front brake light switch should be inspected if the brake lamp does not respond correctly when the front lever is used. Before replacing the switch, it is worth checking the bulb or LED unit, fuse, wiring and electrical connectors to rule out another fault within the circuit.
If the rear brake operates the brake light correctly but the front brake does not, the front stop switch or its wiring is one of the first components to check.
Disconnect the electrical connectors from the original switch before removing it from the front brake lever or master cylinder assembly. Install the replacement in the same orientation, ensuring that the switch actuator is correctly positioned against the brake lever mechanism.
Once fitted, check the brake light before riding. The lamp should illuminate promptly when the front brake lever begins to move and should switch off completely when the lever is released. Check that wiring is routed securely and cannot become trapped, stretched or damaged by steering movement.
A functioning brake light is a small but essential part of motorcycle safety. Choosing a properly made replacement switch helps ensure that the brake lamp responds consistently whenever the front brake is applied, while retaining the original-style installation and operation of the motorcycle.
For older motorcycles in particular, replacing a tired original microswitch can provide a simple and economical way to restore dependable brake light operation.
Returns

All returns should include a covering note stating the reason for the return and the order number clearly marked. Please retain the proof of postage until we have confirmed receipt of the items. We recommend sending by a recorded postage method. Refunds will be processed by the original payment method. If you paid on card, it can take up to 7 days to appear back in your account, with PayPal refunds taking up to 30 days refund if you've simply changed your mind, you have 30 days from the date of purchase to return your item(s) for a refund. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs where items are supplied correctly.
Exchanges
We allow customers up to 6 months after the purchase date to return the item for exchange, provided the item is in re-saleable conditions and proof of purchase can be established.
Supply errors
We ask that customers report supply errors as soon as possible after delivery. We reserve the right to decline issues reported beyond 6 months of the purchase date. Please check your order thoroughly on receipt. Where goods are supplied in error, or arrive damaged, we will cover all shipping costs and exchange or refund in full. We reserve the right to charge a 15% restocking fee for items that are returned in poor condition or outside of the accepted time period.
Electrical Items
Please note that when fitting electrical parts these can be damaged by the same faulty electrical system that caused the initial failure and in such circumstances these parts cannot be returned for a refund
Fitting Issues
Where customers experience issues fitting parts to their vehicle, we will always endeavor to thoroughly investigate and rectify where possible. We will first try to ascertain that you have purchased for the correct model of bike and that no modifications have been made. We cannot be held liable for issues fitting standard parts to non-standard or modified vehicles.
